    OKR Breakdown

Audits a vague OKR and returns 5-7 measurable KRs (baseline/target/deadline/confidence), 1-3 initiatives per KR and the top 2 prioritized by impact×effort. Refuses task-as-KR and targets without rationale.

    WORKS IN
    CLAUDEany setup

Pure-LLM skill. No MCP, no paid tool required. Works on Claude.ai web, desktop and Claude Code.

    WORKS BEST WITH
    • Stripe MCPoptional

pulls real MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC as the baseline — financial KRs calibrated instead of guessed

    • Filesystemoptional

reads ~/okr/<YYYY-Q>.md from the previous quarter to assess hit/miss and adjust this Q's targets (so you don't set the same impossible target twice)

    What this skill does

Takes a generic OKR ("grow ARR 3x") and breaks it into 3 concrete initiatives + 5-7 measurable key results. Spots fragile (vanity) metrics and suggests better proxies.

    When to use

    • At the start of each quarter
    • When the current OKR is too vague ('improve UX')
    • When the team is attacking things that don't move the objective

    How it works

    1. You give it the OKR (objective + current KRs, draft is fine)
    2. The skill audits each KR: is it measurable? does it have a baseline? a deadline?
    3. Flags fragile KRs: 'increase engagement' (which one?), 'ship feature X' (not a metric)
    4. Suggests 5-7 KRs that are measurable and covered by existing data
    5. Breaks each KR into 1-3 initiatives (what to actually do)
    6. Points out the 2 initiatives to run first (impact x effort)

    Principles

    • A KR is a METRIC, not a task. 'Ship X' is not a KR — it's an initiative.
    • Every KR has a baseline + target + deadline
    • Max 5-7 KRs per OKR (more than that = nobody chases them)
    • At least 1 quality KR (not only volume)

    Output example

    OKR Q3 2026

    Objective
Triple ARR from paid subscribers in 90 days

    KRs (draft submitted) Audit
    1. "Grow 3x" vague — 3x of what?
    2. "More features" not a KR
    3. "Improve onboarding" vague

    Suggested KRs (measurable)
    1. ARR from R$ 240k → R$ 720k (baseline 06-01)
    2. MRR churn rate 4% → 2.5%
    3. Landing → trial conversion 8% → 14%
    4. Trial → paid conversion 12% → 20%
    5. NPS from 42 → 55
    6. Time-to-first-value < 5min (currently 18min)

    Initiatives per KR
    KR1: ARR
      - Launch the Founder Pack (R$ 297) — high priority
      - Cold outbound 50 prospects/week — medium
    KR3: Landing → trial conversion
      - Rewrite the hero copy (PAS) — high
      - Add a social proof bar — medium
    KR6: Time-to-first-value
      - Cut steps 2 and 4 of onboarding — high

Top 2 to attack first (impact x effort)
    1. Rewrite the hero copy (KR3) — 2 days, high impact
    2. Launch the Founder Pack (KR1) — 1 week, very high impact
