What this skill does
Takes your pitch deck (PDF, Pitch.com / Notion link, or pasted text) and returns a brutal, structured critique across 10 objective criteria. It doesn't soften. It points out what's vague, what you're hiding, and what to cut.
The 10 criteria
- Problem: which exact pain, for whom, how often
- Insight: what you know that nobody else does
- Market: TAM/SAM/SOM with a source (not a guess)
- Solution: why THIS solution solves that problem
- Traction: an honest KPI, no vanity metric
- Model: ACV, churn, CAC, LTV — real numbers
- GTM: who you reach first and how
- Team: why these 3 people and not another 3
- Roadmap: 6 months, with risks identified
- Ask: round, valuation, precise use of the money
When to use
- Before sending the deck to your first investor
- When you think it's already good (check your bias)
- Pre-demo day, to rehearse the story
Don't use it for:
- Polishing copy (use landing-copy-engine)
- Validating a market thesis (use competitor-teardown)
How it works
- Reads the deck slide by slide
- For each of the 10 criteria, scores 1-5 with a 1-line rationale
- Points out the 3 worst criteria and what to rewrite
- Suggests the ideal slide order (many founders get this wrong)
- Returns a summary card with the overall score and the 3 next steps
Output example
Pitch Deck Roast: marfin.co
Overall score: 67/100
Critique by criterion
1. Problem 4/5 clear but no frequency ("how often does it happen?")
2. Insight 2/5 generic. What is your proprietary bet?
3. Market 3/5 TAM with no source. Link Statista or similar.
4. Solution 4/5
5. Traction 1/5 only shows MAU. Show 30d retention and ACV.
...
3 urgent rewrites
- Slide 4 (Insight): replace "AI is the future" with a concrete bet
- Slide 6 (Traction): add a cohort retention chart
- Slide 9 (Team): explain each founder's relevance to the problemPre-reqs
None. It's pure-LLM, runs on any Claude setup.
